Trigger Time Training
with Paul Childerley
Hands-on, real-world training in the field — built on years of professional experience.
No classroom theory. No generic courses. Trigger Time Training puts you in the field from day one, working real ground with a professional who has spent his career there.
About the Training
Learning in the Field, Not the Classroom
Trigger Time Training grew from years of working countryside alongside guests of all abilities. Paul noticed that most people wanted proper instruction in real conditions, not a tick-box course on a managed range.
Sessions take place across more than 1,000 acres of managed ground in Bedfordshire. Whether you are picking up a rifle for the first time or looking to sharpen skills before a season, the focus is always on safe, confident, and ethical practice.
Training is kept deliberately small-scale: personal, focused, and led entirely by Paul. Days can be built around individual requirements, group size, and what you actually want to get out of them.

The Difference
Why Train with Paul?
Real Field Experience
Every session takes place on working countryside ground. You learn in the environment you will actually be operating in, not on a managed range or in a lecture room.
Personally Led by Paul
Paul leads every session himself. No assistants, no stand-ins. You get direct instruction from a professional who has spent years on this ground.
Safety First, Always
Safe, responsible practice underpins every aspect of the training. Paul takes the legal and ethical side of field sports seriously and expects the same from every guest.
Suitable for All Levels
Whether you have never handled a firearm or are preparing for your first season, sessions are built around where you are now and where you want to get to.
Practical Skill, Not Theory
Trigger Time Training is about doing, not listening. You will spend the majority of your time in the field, applying what you learn in real conditions.
"This isn't theory — this is learning in the field, where it matters."
What's Available
Training Options
Deer Stalking Training
Practical, field-based stalking instruction covering the fundamentals: safe rifle handling, reading ground, identifying species, shot placement and the responsibilities that come with taking deer. Delivered across real working ground in Bedfordshire and neighbouring counties.
Game Shooting Training
A structured introduction to driven and walked-up shooting. Paul covers gun mount, footwork, picking birds and safe shooting etiquette — built around real field conditions rather than a stand-alone range.
1-to-1 Tuition
Fully tailored sessions built around you. Whether you are starting from scratch or looking to sharpen specific skills, 1-to-1 time with Paul gives you focused instruction and honest feedback without distraction.
Group & Private Sessions
Training days for small groups, corporate parties or private bookings. Days are shaped around experience levels and aims, and can be combined with a shooting or stalking experience on the same ground.
